On May 20, 2026 the Alliance for an Affordable Nashville hosted its third annual Housing Matters summit, the Alliance's premier event.

More than 200 people gathered at Belmont University to discuss how to better address Nashville's housing challenge. The keynote address was provided by Natallie Keiser, executive director of HouseATL. HouseATL is dedicated to expanding affordable housing options and supporting residents through advocacy and development projects. During her keynote, she shared specific examples of HouseATL’s work:

 

• Partnering with local developers to create mixed-income housing that includes affordable units.

• Advocating for policy changes that protect renters from eviction and displacement.

• Launching community engagement programs that empower residents to participate in housing decisions.
